LTC(R) Willie Chapple is a proud graduate of Cotton Plant High School, Class of 1989. He holds several degrees including a BA in Agriculture Economics, a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development, and a MA in Computer Resources and Information Management.
LTC(R) Chapple enlisted in the AR ARNG in 1989 and served as a Indirect Fire Infantryman (11C) with the 2/153rd Infantry in Brinkley, Arkansas. He served with the 3/153rd Infantry as a 4 Deuce Mortar Chief Ballistic Operator and later as a Motor Transport Operator (88M). LTC (R) Chapple attended the Officer Candidate School (OCS) at the Arkansas Military Academy (AMA) in 1997 and commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Signal Corps.
LTC(R) Chapple served a combined total of 29 years 3 months and 5 days (21 Active Duty). He has served in a variety of command and leadership positions throughout his combined career in the AR ARNG to include Deputy Chief of Staff Information Management Support Branch Division Chief, Knowledge Manager, Professor of Military Science, Commanded a Sniper School, Small Arms Master Gunner and Squad Designated MarksmanSchool), Deputy Commander 61st CST, Operations Officer 61st Civil Support Team, Nuclear Biological Chemical Team Leader 61st CST, C-E Officer, 212th Signal Battalion Company Commander, AIDE-DE-CAMP, and Platoon Leader. He deployed to Honduras with the 39th Infantry Brigade in 1992 and deployed to Afghanistan 2010-2011 for Operation Enduring Freedom.
LTC (R) Chapple’s military education includes Signal Officer Basic Course, Signal Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms Services Staff School, the Command and General Staff College.
LTC (R) Chapple’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ M Device, Noncommissioned Officers Prof Dev Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Medal, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Nato Medal, Arkansas Federal Service Ribbon, Arkansas Service Ribbon, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation.
LTC (R) Chapple currently resides in Little Rock, Arkansas. He has three children; Willie Jr, Caitlyn and Ashton. He is a life member of NGAA, NGAUS, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated and the Signal Corps Regimental Association. In retirement, he owns and operate Will’s Enterprise, LLC (Real Estate), WE Care Contracting LLC, Bounce House Rentals, and Real Estate Investor.
